MIDNIGHT SUN - the counterpart to the POLAR NIGHT - print, showcases the opposite end of Svalbard’s seasonal spectrum. From Spring to Autumn, the sun sits in the sky 24 hours a day, casting permanent light over the landscape. 
To create this piece I used the ‘jigsaw’ method to remove the night sky from the original block, before layering up new blocks with the clouds & glistening golden sun.
100% handmade! Each image is individually handprinted from a linoblock of an original illustration. High quality oil-based ink on Japanese silk paper.
